Three ways to opt out

If you got here from a newsletter, the fastest path is the unsubscribe link in the footer of that email — it takes effect the moment you click it.

If the link is broken, missing, or you no longer have the email, use one of these:

Email [email protected] with "Unsubscribe" in the subject — I'll remove you within one business day
Reply to any past M13 email with the word "unsubscribe" — I read every reply
Send a postal request to the address on file (available on request)

What stops, what stays

Unsubscribing removes you from:

The M13 newsletter
Any future marketing announcement, promotion, or product launch email
Re-engagement nudges

Unsubscribing does not stop:

Direct replies to messages you send me
Project correspondence if you're an active client
Invoices, receipts, and contract documents
Critical service notices (e.g., a hosting outage on a site I built for you)

If you want all email communication to stop entirely — including project emails — let me know in the same message and I'll honour that.

Re-subscribing

Changed your mind? You can rejoin the newsletter from the studio homepage any time. Re-subscribing requires a fresh opt-in — old consent doesn't carry over.

Privacy and records

Once you unsubscribe, your email address is removed from the active list within 10 business days (CASL maximum) and almost always within 24 hours in practice. The record of your unsubscribe is kept for 3 years for compliance audit purposes, but it isn't used for anything else.
